Superworm Wriggles into Hopscotch!

This month, our nurseries have been getting a very special visitor—Superworm!

As part of our Book of the Month celebrations, our Curriculum Lead, Jordan, has been taking Superworm on a tour to meet the children and bring the story to life. During his visits, Jordan has been reading Superworm by Julia Donaldson, a much-loved tale about a heroic worm who helps his friends in all sorts of clever and creative ways.

The children have been absolutely captivated, joining in with the rhymes and giggling at Superworm’s exciting adventures. Seeing their favourite characters come to life is a fantastic way to develop their love for stories, early literacy skills, and imaginative play.

But that’s not all—we’ve got even more Superworm-themed fun on the way! Wormeries have started arriving at our nurseries, giving the children a chance to observe real wriggly creatures up close. This hands-on experience will spark conversations about nature, habitats, and the incredible role worms play in our environment.
