National Apprenticeship Week - Meet Bex
This week, to celebrate ‘National Apprenticeship Week’ we are celebrating our apprentices, across all of our settings, so we’ll be introducing you to our hardworking apprentices.
Meet Bex, one of our apprentices from our Peacehaven nursery. We asked Bex why she choose to do an apprenticeship and what she loves about it.
1. Why did you want to do an apprenticeship in Early Years?
I wanted to get embark on a career to open doors in the future, such as working in schools and working with SEN children.
2. What does a typical day at nursery look like?
A typical day at nursery is coming in to look after the children, doing activities such as feeding them, helping them to get to sleep and planning and engaging with them in activities.
3. What is your favourite part of the day?
My absolute favourite part of the day is engaging with them, and joining in with singing time.
4. What is the best part about working with children?
The best part of working with children is seeing them develop, watching them grow and achieve.
5. Would you recommend doing an apprenticeship, and if so why?
Yes! It’s a fantastic learning path towards getting a qualification. I enjoy learning whilst I’m on the job.
6. Why did you choose to do your apprenticeship with Hopscotch?
I chose to do my apprenticeship at Hopscotch because it was close to my home, and I had heard a fantastic reviews about the apprenticeship scheme the company has to offer.
