Hopscotch Explorers Paint the Park!

Last week, our West Hove Explorers headed off on a local trip to the park. The sun was shining, and the children were full of energy and excitement for a morning of outdoor fun.

They started the trip with a few group games to get everyone moving—running races, chasing games and lots of laughter! It was a great way for the children to practise teamwork, communication and taking turns, all while having a good time with their friends.

After that, we brought out the paints and paper and spent some quiet time doing observational painting. The children took a close look at the flowers growing in the park, thinking about their colours and shapes before creating their own artwork. It was lovely to see them so focused, and activities like this help with concentration, creativity and fine motor skills.

Trips like these are a big part of our Hopscotch Explorers programme. They give children the chance to explore the world around them, build independence, and learn practical skills—like how to stay safe on a walk or follow instructions in a new setting.
