Celebrating World Book Day at Hopscotch Nurseries

At Hopscotch Nurseries, we believe in the power of books to ignite imagination and spark creativity in young minds. This year, we had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day 2025 across all our nurseries, and we’re excited to share some of the fun and engaging activities that made the day so special!

Fun and Creativity Across the Nurseries

World Book Day is one of our favourite events of the year, and this year’s celebrations did not disappoint! It was a day packed with creative activities designed to bring books and stories to life.

Our children had a blast dressing up as their favourite characters, and we made sure to keep the excitement going with a range of fun, book-inspired activities. From exciting trips to the library to exploring the world of books with interactive reading sessions, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Trips to the Library and Local Bookshops

Our Worthing nursery enjoyed a wonderful trip to the local library, where the children were able to explore new books and discover exciting stories. Over at Hove Station nursery, the children visited a local bookshop, where they had the chance to look around and pick out their favourite titles. These outings were a fantastic way for our children to engage with their love for books and experience the magic of discovering new stories in their local community.

Imagination in Action

Watching the children’s imaginations come to life is always a highlight. Whether it was through interactive storytelling or engaging in book-themed role play, we loved seeing how the stories inspired the children’s creativity. They acted out scenes, created new characters, and, of course, shared their favourite stories with their friends.

Reading Fun Doesn’t Stop There!

The fun doesn’t end with World Book Day! Throughout March, we’re diving into Superworm by Julia Donaldson as our Book of the Month across all our nurseries. This exciting and adventurous tale about a brave little worm is sure to inspire more creative activities, including arts, crafts, and even some fun outdoor challenges!
